The Stump Grind, part of TheGrind LLC, uses your information to review and arrange free stump grinding estimates.
Information we collect
The estimate form asks for your name, phone number, property address, city, ZIP code, and a brief description. Email and stump count are optional. We also keep your selected time, request status, changes, and private scheduling notes. Please do not include payment information, identity documents, or other sensitive details. This website does not accept photo uploads.
For security, the service processes your IP address into a keyed hash for short-lived request limits. Hosting providers may process technical access and security information as part of operating their services.
How we use and share it
We use these details to check coverage, arrange or change a visit, contact you about the request, prevent abuse, and keep appointment records. We do not use the form for marketing subscriptions.
This site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for hosting and database storage. Owner sign-in is handled by OpenAI. When email delivery is enabled, Resend receives the email address and request details needed to send acknowledgments and updates, including your private management link. Authorized business personnel can access requests. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or to respond to a security incident.
Cookies and private links
Owner sign-in uses the authentication provider’s session cookies. The estimate form does not require a customer account. We have not added advertising pixels, session replay, analytics trackers, marketing cookies, or automated text messages.
Your private request link allows anyone holding it to view and manage that request. Keep it secure. The link token is stored in the URL fragment rather than sent as a page address to our server. Your browser history and email account may still retain the link.
Retention and deletion
Our current request-retention setting is 180 days after the later of the visit end or the last record update. Old records are removed through scheduled or owner-run maintenance. We may need to retain records longer for a legal obligation or an active dispute. Rate-limit records are short-lived and removed during maintenance.
Deleting an active database record also removes its notes, history, and pending email records. Sent email, hosting logs, and backup copies have separate retention cycles. Deleted data may remain in backups until those cycles end. Ask us about access, corrections, deletion, or the applicable backup cycle using the contact information below. We may need to verify that the request concerns your own information.
